Graph paper is paper that is printed with fine lines making up a grid. The lines are used as guides for plotting mathematical functions and drawing diagrams. Some specialized forms of graph paper have logarithmic scales or allow plotting in polar coordinates. Quad paper is a common form of graph paper with a sparse grid printed in light blue or gray and right to the edge of the paper.

3D graph paper or isometric graph paper is also available, but fairly rare although may be found in specialty techical drawing shops or in lower highschool mathematics courses.
